Hi. I'm Debbie!

I have an extensive career supporting children aged 4-11 - I have dedicated my professional life to nurturing children's emotional wellbeing, resilience, and success in school.

My journey began in childcare management, leading an after-school and holiday club, before moving into pastoral support role in 2007.

Since then, I have worked extensively with children experiencing social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as those impacted by trauma and adverse childhood experiences.

As a qualified Thrive Practitioner, I have been proud to champion therapeutic practice at every level of education, from direct work with children to influencing strategic approaches with staff, applying my experience from a previous Senior Leadership role. My passion lies in helping schools create emotionally safe environments where every child can thrive.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is collaborating with school staff, teaching assistants, and leaders to develop a deeper understanding of children's emotional development and behaviour. Through coaching, training, and modelling relational approaches, I support professionals to become emotionally available and emotionally safe adults for the children they work with.

I firmly believe that positive behaviour and a strong school culture are built through relationships, understanding, and emotional connection. By promoting whole-school approaches that prioritise wellbeing, attachment awareness, and trauma-informed practice, I help schools create inclusive environments where both children and adults can flourish
